The Caves

The Caves is a unique private hire venue built into the sub-structure of the 18th century South Bridge in Edinburgh. They came to us because they wanted a slick new brochure that promotes this unusual venue’s various services. First, they asked for a brochure that they could offer for download or email to prospective clients. We decided that this venue was so beautiful that it should be the centrepiece of the design, and used a professional photographer to capture the atmosphere there.

In order to ensure The Caves could best communicate their brand effectively, we also updated their logo and have been asked to produce a full set of marketing materials for the venue’s many other offerings. To find out more about The Caves, visit their website use this link, The Caves, Edinburgh.

Every business, large or small, needs a concise and lasting brand message or runs the risk of alienating potential new customers. The more competition your company has, the more effective your branding must become. And the customers trust will most likely lie with the business that represents itself in the most professional manner, as the assumption will be made that other areas of your business are held in equally high regard.

So it is in your company’s best interest to make a good first impression and represent your brand effectively. The same way that somebody going for an interview wants to dress smart and look their best, your logo should do the same for your business. By this we don’t mean your logo needs to look fancy, but it should appear professional.

Daisy Chain Associates is a social enterprise established in 2004 that stands by those afflicted by drugs and alcohol in the family. They do this through plays that are based on real life research which tackle some of the most serious and controversial issues that many face at some point or throughout their lives. Through Daisy Chain Associates we have also carried out work that has been used in Simpson House of Edinburgh, a major institution that helps children and families that have been affected by issues such as substance abuse.

Daisy Chain frequently call us with new work, and we are always excited to be a part of their next event. Keep an eye on our blog for updates on our work with our regular clients!

We also provided a similar brochure for The Rowantree, a partner venue that is linked to The Caves but provides slightly different services. The gallery below shows the brochure for The Caves.

One of our early designs that we produced for Artisan Cider, an ambitious new cider label that the owners currently have set aside. Nonetheless, we thought we would share a small example of the development of a work in progress. The project was shelved so early that we had only just begun on a label and some marketing/branding concepts, check it out below.
